1953 Mercedes Benz

Dave and Marie's 1953 170 S-V is one cool car.  Dave is a Mercedes mechanic and has built this car from the ground up.

He used a late model 190E IRS rear suspension, with a reworked front end.  The late model 4 cylinder engine has a custom fuel injection system, and delivers approx. 200 HP. to the 4 speed automatic transmission.

The exterior paint is 1989 Honda Hampshire blue.  The interior is an imported blue tweed over the stock Mercedes seats, offset by the beautifully finished wood trim.

While the car has a basic stock appearance, Dave has made many changes both inside and out.

Dave and Marie have taken their car to numerous shows across the western part of the country and rarely come home without an award.

Cruisers comment:  Who says you need to have a Ford or a Chevrolet to have a cool ride. I hope you have a chance to see this car in person---
because it's a beauty

Dave is now working on a 1939 Ford COE.  The construction photos will be in our new
