1951 Mercury Woodie
DESCRIPTION:
The frame shows no evidence of the car having been wrecked.
WOOD:
There is one rear stainless belt molding. The interior door and rear panels are both there (see additional photos). The rear interior and exterior panels could be repaired, veneered and re-used.
RUST:
There were a couple holes on the front and rear floors, rockers. The floors were cut out and patched, and the rockers replaced.
There was surface rust on the remainder of the floors they were sanded and coated with Por-15 along with the outer body, behind where the wood goes.
INTERIOR:
The dash has all the gauges, radio, and heat and vent cables.
The front seat is out of a 1950 Mercury 2 door, it is basically the same seat but mounts to the floor differently.
The rear seat has the wood, stainless and springs for the back. There is no bottom.
There are garnish moldings for the windshield, doors, rear windows and upper tailgate.
The car has the upper and lower tailgate hardware including latches.
